The Sunshine Coast Summer School of Celtic Music is the most wonderful school of Celtic music I know of. I attended the school for 8 summers and was taught by some very special teachers who gave me a tremendous love for playing all kinds of fiddle music. I learned that in order to play well, you don’t just play notes, you play from the heart. Workshops helped me to appreciate different bowing styles, various rhythms, styles of playing and and the history of where they came from. I always felt encouraged by the teachers and by all the many volunteers that give so much of their time and energy over the school week. Thank you!
